Doritos ends 10-year Super Bowl run, so munch on these 10 funniest commercials

Check out Doritos' 10 funniest Super Bowl commercials of all-time.

Sorry, folks, there will be no crashing the Super Bowl in 2017. Doritos — like the Cleveland Browns — will sit this one out.

You may have missed the news from the mega-conglomerate snack food industry (via Advertising Age): Doritos, part of PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division, will end its streak of advertising in the Super Bowl that dates to 2007.

"There are no plans for Frito-Lay brands to advertise during the upcoming Super Bowl as it did not fit with our marketing plans, however, we continue to enjoy a great partnership with the NFL that connects multiple brands within PepsiCo," a Frito-Lay spokesman told Ad Age in an email.

The 10-game streak began with the crowd-sourced "Crash the Super Bowl" ad contest. Before that, Frito-Lay advertised its Lay's potato chips and Tostitos-brand tortilla chips during the Super Bowl. So while PepsiCo will be all over Super Bowl 51 (its Pepsi Zero Sugar is sponsoring Lady Gaga's halftime show), there will be no Doritos for you.

Instead, grab a Party Size bag of Cool Ranch (and maybe a Coke as a form of protest) and watch this one assessment of Doritos' top 10 funniest Super Bowl commercials.
