The Giants sent out a release this week confirming the second-rower had been stood down but did not go into the specifics.

"Huddersfield Giants have suspended Brett Ferres from the club pending an internal investigation into conduct away from the club," the statement read.

Ferres played in all three Tests against New Zealand and was one of England's best in the 2-1 series win.

Australian winger Justin Carney was basically run out of Castleford following allegations he had an affair with a teammate's wife.
